Therapy Bio
-
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have specialized training in trauma-informed care and am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), with training in EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
-
As a therapist, I spend my days exploring the emotional and relational patterns that emerge in clinical practice. I’ve witnessed how trauma, family dynamics, identity, loss, and survival can influence the way people understand themselves and navigate the world around them. My work is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and the belief that our experiences, relationships, and the ways we have learned to protect ourselves all shape how we move through the world. Healing, to me, is not about erasing the past or becoming someone entirely different, but about understanding what shaped you, recognizing the patterns that no longer serve you, and creating space to choose what comes next.
-
My goal as your therapist is to create a therapeutic space where you feel seen without judgment, challenged with compassion, and supported as you begin to understand yourself in new ways.

I received an Honorable Mention in the 2025 Olive Woolley Burt Awards for “Fire and Ice,” an honor recognizing emerging voices in creative nonfiction. Since then, my work has been published in Utah’s Best Poetry & Prose 2026, featuring “Blueprints of Bias,” and in the 2026 Humanity Through a Lens anthology, featuring “A Life Affirmed.” My work also appears in Inkpot Literary Magazine’s Summer 2026 “Against All Odds: Before and After”—Chain Reaction issue. In November 2026, my piece “Before I Understood the Crime” will be published in the Utah Readers Fest Anthology. Most recently, I received Second Place in the 2026 League of Utah Writers Olive Woolley Burt Awards in the First Chapter (Adult), Established Writers category for “Absent Even in Its Presence.”
-
I write creative nonfiction about the things that shape us—family, identity, belonging, betrayal, and belief. My work is intimate and deeply reflective, exploring the complicated places where memory, relationships, and identity intersect and transforming personal experience into stories of recognition, resilience, and meaning.
-
My writing began with a desire to make sense of my own story. What started as an attempt to understand where I had been, what had shaped me, and what I carried forward eventually became something larger: a hope that by putting language to my own experiences, I might help others find language for theirs. I don’t write to assign blame or dwell in the past, but to understand it with greater clarity and compassion. I write about complicated people, relationships, and experiences because I believe there is meaning to be found in even the most difficult parts of our stories. If my work offers anything, I hope it is recognition—the feeling of finding something familiar in another person’s words and perhaps a little more clarity about the story you are still learning to understand.
