‍From lived experience to the written word…

I’m Amy Claire, a writer, published author, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and therapist. My work lives at the intersection of story and psychology, where I explore the experiences that shape who we become: family, belonging, identity, loss, resilience, and the complicated ways we learn to understand ourselves.

As a therapist, I’ve spent years listening to people tell the stories of their lives. As a writer, I’ve learned that sometimes the quietest stories carry the deepest truths.

My creative nonfiction draws from both lived experience and professional insight, with a particular interest in the places where love, family, trauma, and identity intersect. I believe our stories matter, not because they are always easy to tell, but because telling them can help us understand what we have survived, what has shaped us, and who we are still becoming.
